Man attempts to smuggle pet turtle onto plane in KFC hamburger

A man known only as Li tried to smuggle his "beloved" pet turtle through Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport security in China by sandwiching it inside a KFC hamburger. X-ray screening showed "odd protrusions," and airport staff asked to inspect Li's luggage, saying that said protrusions resembled turtle limbs.

"There's no turtle in there, just a hamburger," Li reportedly said. "There's nothing special to see inside," he added, seemingly wanting to appear even more suspicious. He finally gave in, and security nicely explained he couldn't bring the turtle on the plane. Li arranged for a friend to care for his pet. Beats the time we tried to smuggle our pet cobra inside a kielbasa link. [Source]
