Wildebeest mindlessly circle bush thanks to herd’s confused leader

This video of wildebeest mindlessly circling a bush clearly illustrates why a group is only as good as its leader.

The animals had apparently put their trust in their boss, who ultimately led them astray.

The YouTube clip showed the wildebeest continuously circling a bush at Kruger National Park in South Africa.

At one point it seemed the animals had actually lost track of who was following who, as the group blended into one confused conga line.

YouTube user Raul Alejo speculated the antelope could still be stuck at the same spot.

He wrote: ‘Legend has it that these wildebeest are still circling that tree…’
